    Each spring, CalArts hosts the Writing Now Reading Series, a key part of its MFA Creative Writing program. This series, structured around the work of contemporary writers, serves as a required course for graduate students, offering fresh perspectives that connect and invigorate today’s literary and creative fields.

    Writing Now highlights authors whose work intersects with the program’s concentrations: Image & Text, Documentary Strategies, Writing & Performativity, and Writing & Its Publics.
